Employer Sponsored, or Employer Nominated Visas, are work visas for overseas nationals who have a job or job offer from an Australian Employer.
The most common Temporary Sponsored visas are the 482 Skills in Demand Visa and the 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visas.
The Permanent Visa in this category is the Employer Nominated 186 visa.
Employers who are approved sponsors or parties to a labour agreement with the commonwealth nominate an overseas worker into a skilled occupation.
Potential workers must then make a visa application that links to that sponsorship and nominated position.
There are quite rigorous requirements to be met by potential employers.
Whether you are an employer or a visa applicant Dawn Migration will guide you through the process.
The Subclass 186 is a two-stage process. The employer must nominate a person to an occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupation list and the applicant then applies for that visa.
There are three streams to this visa. Two of these streams are for applicant who are already employed for the nominating employer and one stream for prospective employees who wish to gain direct entry.
